Meet The Team

Kerryann commenced her career in retail and customer relations and has held senior management roles in a number of successful organisations. Her experience includes building positive small businesses through innovation and implementation of best practice and ethical administration, with a focus on compliance and governance. Co-founding Vision Excellence and sharing the practice’s commitment to integrity, she brings several years of experience in the optical industry to her role. Kerryann has a keen interest in eyewear, combining style with the practicalities of spectacle frames and lenses, with a focus on patient care and enjoyment of her interactions with each individual patient.

Jennifer completed her Optometry Degree with First Class Honours at The University of New South Wales. She has wanted to be an optometrist since being prescribed her first pair of spectacles when she was 10 years old. Fast forward to 2022 Jennifer joins the Vision Excellence team as an extremely dedicated practitioner, focused on providing only the highest quality care to her patients in order to meet their individual visual needs. Jennifer provides a wide range of optometric services in adult and children’s vision and is fluent in Cantonese, adding a new dimension to the practice. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, the occasional Netflix binge and exploring new hikes in and around Sydney.

Sylvia graduated as an orthoptist from the University of Sydney and has over 10 years’ experience working in multidisciplinary practices in Australia and the Mount Sinai Ophthalmology Faculty in New York, USA. With an extensive background in paediatric eye care, her areas of expertise include strabismus (turned eye), amblyopia (lazy eye) and other eye movement disorders. Her special interests are in visual perception, reading and tracking disorders. Working closely with our optometrist and other practitioners, she uses her experience to support the practice’s focus on customised contact lens fitting, including scleral lenses.

Amanda is an integral part of the administrative team at Vision Excellence offering customer service with utmost care and empathy. She is always ready to help and goes above and beyond to provide excellent patient care. Amanda has over 10 years’ experience working in the optical industry mainly focusing on administrative and customer service roles. Her previous roles in the travel industry provided her with the opportunity to build strong customer relations as well as sparking her love for travel worldwide.

Josie is currently studying a Bachelor of Vision Science / Master of Clinical Optometry at UNSW. Josie is an Optometry Assistant at Vision Excellence; you’ll meet her before seeing Lee or Jen, where she’ll do important health checks such as OCT and Widefield scans to ensure you have a thorough check up. Josie is an avid learner, and is passionate about getting hands-on experience, applying her knowledge from university to provide the best quality of care for our patients. In her free time, Josie enjoys spending time with family and friends.
