Meet The Team

Lee graduated with honours from the University of NSW and has been registered to practice optometry for over 30 years. Serving as a clinical supervisor of optometry students at UNSW, he has lectured in contact lenses, spectacle lens design, patient communication, and acted as a consultant in clinical instrumentation. He has extensive experience in primary eye care in the Hills District and has particular interest in customising contact lenses for complicated eyes, prevention of blindness in adult and elderly patients and paediatric eye care. Orthokeratology is a particular specialty, inhibiting the development of myopia in children. Lee co-founded Vision Excellence, bringing his knowledge to establishing a Hills District practice that continues to strive for the highest standard of optometric care.

Sylvia graduated as an orthoptist from the University of Sydney and has over 10 years’ experience working in multidisciplinary practices in Australia and the Mount Sinai Ophthalmology Faculty in New York, USA. With an extensive background in paediatric eye care, her areas of expertise include strabismus (turned eye), amblyopia (lazy eye) and other eye movement disorders. Her special interests are in visual perception, reading and tracking disorders. Working closely with our optometrist and other practitioners, she uses her experience to support the practice’s focus on customised contact lens fitting, including scleral lenses.

Jennifer completed her Optometry Degree with First Class Honours at The University of New South Wales. She has wanted to be an optometrist since being prescribed her first pair of spectacles when she was 10 years old. Fast forward to 2022 Jennifer joins the Vision Excellence team as an extremely dedicated practitioner, focused on providing only the highest quality care to her patients in order to meet their individual visual needs. Jennifer provides a wide range of optometric services in adult and children’s vision and is fluent in Cantonese, adding a new dimension to the practice. Outside of work, she enjoys baking, the occasional Netflix binge and exploring new hikes in and around Sydney.

Joseline joins the Vision Excellence team with a background in the pharmaceutical and retail industries. She has covered multiple roles including customer care, dispensing and territory management. Joseline is a qualified and experienced optical dispenser bringing her knowledge and skills to Vision Excellence. Understanding the importance of correct optical fitting, Joseline imparts her knowledge and love for fashion and styling in assisting customers choose spectacle frames. She also offers the utmost of care in liasing with customers and attending to administration duties at Vision Excellence. Joseline’s leisure time is spent working out, taking care of Bruno her chocolate Labrador and watching movies.

Vision Excellence is proud to welcome Josie Wehbe as our newest Optometrist. Josie’s journey with our practice began as a student and office administrator, and she has since been involved in all facets of the practice, developing a strong foundation across clinical care, specialty lenses, children’s vision, and advanced diagnostics. Many of our patients already know Josie well from her years with us, where her calm manner, professionalism, and genuine care have made her a trusted and familiar face.

Josie completed her Bachelor of Vision Science / Master of Clinical Optometry at UNSW, graduating with distinction and earning the prestigious UNSW University Medal, an honour recognising exceptional academic and clinical achievement. She brings hands-on experience in all aspects of clinical care, supported by a solid learning base and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development. Josie is highly patient-focused and is passionate about delivering personalised, thorough care to support the long-term eye health of every patient. Outside the practice, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
