Lee graduated with honours from the University of NSW and has been registered to practice optometry for over 30 years. Serving as a clinical supervisor of optometry students at UNSW, he has lectured in contact lenses, spectacle lens design, patient communication, and acted as a consultant in clinical instrumentation. He has extensive experience in primary eye care in the Hills District and has particular interest in customising contact lenses for complicated eyes, prevention of blindness in adult and elderly patients and paediatric eye care. Orthokeratology is a particular specialty, inhibiting the development of myopia in children. Lee co-founded Vision Excellence, bringing his knowledge to establishing a Hills District practice that continues to strive for the highest standard of optometric care.
Kerryann commenced her career in retail and customer relations and has held senior management roles in a number of successful organisations. Her experience includes building positive small businesses through innovation and implementation of best practice and ethical administration, with a focus on compliance and governance. Co-founding Vision Excellence and sharing the practice’s commitment to integrity, she brings several years of experience in the optical industry to her role. Kerryann has a keen interest in eyewear, combining style with the practicalities of spectacle frames and lenses, with a focus on patient care and enjoyment of her interactions with each individual patient.
Ashley Silveri is a local product and has lived her whole life in the Hills District. Graduating from Western Sydney University and majoring in psychology, she is receptive to the specific needs of each of our patients. Her experience in patient care is a basis for assessing optical requirements of every individual and brings freshness and a youthful perspective to the eyewear side of the practice. Ashley’s special interest in fitness and nutrition also aligns with our practice’s focus on general wellbeing as a basis for eye health.
Liane graduated in Orthoptics from the University of Sydney and has worked in many areas of orthoptics and ophthalmology in both the private and public sphere. She has lectured in the university’s school of orthoptics for several years and continues to mentor final year orthoptic students at UTS. She specialises in the treatment of eye movement conditions and strabismus (turned eye) in both paediatric and adult patients. She has a particular interest in children’s vision, having completed her Masters in vision screening of children, as well as extensive experience in treating the visual effects of traumatic brain injury.
Sylvia graduated as an orthoptist from the University of Sydney and has over 10 years’ experience working in multidisciplinary practices in Australia and the Mount Sinai Ophthalmology Faculty in New York, USA. With an extensive background in paediatric eye care, her areas of expertise include strabismus (turned eye), amblyopia (lazy eye) and other eye movement disorders. Her special interests are in visual perception, reading and tracking disorders. Working closely with our optometrist and other practitioners, she uses her experience to support the practice’s focus on customised contact lens fitting, including scleral lenses.
