At Vision Excellence, we care about protecting your vision. In addition to this, we are also care about the more than 600 million people around the world who lack access to quality vision care.
Because of this, our practice participates in the World Sight Day Challenge every October.
The World Sight Day Challenge is run by global charity, Optometry Giving Sight, which began in Australia and the U.K and has spread to include optometry practices around the world.
This is the largest annual global fundraising campaign to address avoidable blindness caused by uncorrected refractive error – simply the need for an eye exam and glasses.
We believe that the World Sight Day Challenge is a very positive campaign, because preventable blindness is a solvable problem. You may be surprised to learn how little is required to help provide an eye exam and a pair of glasses to someone living in an underserved community. Every contribution is meaningful.

In addition for every individual check-in at Vision Excellence in October we will donate another dollar. This is not limited to our patients but includes family and friends as well.
WRISTBANDS
The World Sight Day Challenge features new ‘people power’ wristbands and we encourage everyone to visit Vision Excellence, make a $5 donation, receive a wristband and publicly show their support for Optometry Giving Sight.
ENCOURAGE FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO LOOK AFTER THEIR EYE HEALTH IN OCTOBER
Communicate the message to family and friends to get their eyes examined during the Challenge.
We will donate 10% of every comprehensive iwellness consultation conducted at Vision Excellence throughout the challenge to the cause.
